Amartey suffers serious injury

Amartey in pain
Leicester city defender Daniel Amartey suffered a serious injury in his side 1-1 draw with West Ham.

He was stretchered off the pitch after twisting his ankle in a tackle with Michael Antonio.

The injury came moments after Leicester city midfielder Wilfred Ndidi had scored a late equaliser in the 92minute to rescue a point for his side.

Speaking after the game Claude Puel said "It was a good second half with a lot of chances," he told BT Sport. "But my first thought at the end is for my player Daniel.

"He played well and gave his best, so it is difficult to see this injury at the end. I thought more about that at the end than the game.

"I hope it is not as a serious as we think. He will have to have an examination then we will see, of course".
