More misery as Netherlands humiliates Germany
2014 World Cup winners Germany suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the Uefa Nations League.
The Germans start brightly of the two sides.
A corner by Memphis Depay in the 30th minute led to a mistake by Neuer, which found its way to an unmarked Van Dijk to put the host ahead.
After the recess, Joachim Low introduced Leroy Sane and Julian Draxler in places of Thomas Muller and Emre Can to add bite to the German attack.
The tactics seemed to working until a swift counter attack in the 86th minute by the Netherlands made it 2-0, with Memphis on the score sheet.
Georginio Wijnaldum made his way through a host of Germany defenders and placed the ball at the bottom right corner in the 93rd minute to seal the game for the Netherlands.
This is the first time the Netherlands have beaten Germany in 16years.
Germany have also failed to score in three consecutive competitive matches 0-2 vs South Korea . 0-0 vs. France and 0-3 vs. Netherlands.
This is the first time such a thing has ever happened in their history.
